My trout painting was so popular that I got a commission to re create it. This one I used a bigger range of colors and I think it made the fish more sparkly. Which one do you like more? Should I replace my prints with the new painting or keep the 1st version?

I was going to wait till the end of the month but I love this painting so much and I felt like it would a great way to announce this. I have 3 more shifts left at my part time job until I am officially a full time artist!!! Lots of happy tears were shed when I put in my notice because I’ve been wanting this for so long. There were so many nights crying the last couple years because I thought I would never get here and I am just very proud of myself and excited to share my news with everyone. Every sale affects my life more than you know and I am just so thankful that there are real people in the world that genuinely like what I make. It’s a very cool feeling. Any way that’s all :) prints of this won’t be available until after my next print club announcement;)

Guys I officially reached 50 members of my print club! I’ve been doing this since November of last year so it’s been a slow climb but if I were to go back and tell myself a year ago today that I’d have 50 members of a print club I’d be shocked so I guess it doesn’t really matter the timeline, an achievement is still an achievement. Speaking of achievements I have really big news that I’m going to announce at the end of the month and it wouldn’t at all have been possible without all the people supporting me through website sales and print club so thank you guys so much and that’s all I can say for now lol. Also sorry there’s no originals on my website! I’m completely cleared out of my inventory other than what I have at galleries thanks to Big Crafty. Thank you to everyone who came! It was so cool to hear so many people say “Omg I’ve seen this on instagram” or “Hi, I follow you”. I’ve never had that happen before and it was really cool. Guys I’ve been painting like a crazy person. This is the 24th painting I’ve gotten done during the month of May. I have so much on my to do list for June and honestly (and I know this sounds crazy) but it feels like a breath of fresh air to have much on my plate. Like how much lucky am I to be this busy with the work I’ve longed for all my life. Some things I’m looking forward to that are coming up are 1. Porter Flea: a huge artist market in Nashville (and if you live around that area please go, I promise you won’t regret it. It’s got 200 amazing juried artists and it’s a market where you wont find “ai art” or 3d printed dragons, only real very talented people here) 2. I signed a lease at Kress Emporium! Which, if you’re not familiar, is an amazing gallery in the middle of downtown Asheville and that lease starts on literally the day after I’m back from Porter Flea lol. And 3. My print club now has 36 members and May 31st (tomorrow) is the last day to join to receive mays envelope. Im so thankful for all of you that have joined. The rainy weather has taken a huge toll on my income for the month of May because I can’t attend my usual farmers markets or I go anyway and no one comes to shop so I’ve basically been relying on Instagram and my website to get by. So yeah lots of big expensive but exciting things and happening in my world and just hoping the universe is looking out for me and that all this hard work will pay off <3
